Blackadder Goes Forth
|
These six episodes of this last of the Blackadder saga are being shown over the next three weeks, two at a time, on BBC4.
For posters too young to have seen it originally don’t miss this opportunity and if stuck for time make a point of at least seeing the final episode.

A superb British comedy, havnt seen the final episode "goodbyee" for a few years now.Blackadder is well up there with the very best. Loads of television goes on too long but blackadder finished perfectly in a special, clever poignant way. Even in the final episode it was full of sarcasm and Blackadder trying to wriggle himself out of the inevitable. The final scenes a chocker.A fitting end to a fantastic comedy gem.

Well they are all good Debs, timeless as well.
Series 1 does take a bit of getting used to as it were, especially if you have seen the others first.
Series 3 maybe my least favorite but still a cut above most of, if not all of the modern day so called sitcoms that gets aired.

Sydney gotta disagree, Loved Blackadder the 3rd. Ben Elton gets a lot of stick on here but he was a major factor in making that show such a classic.

People thinking series 1 wasn't that good? Maybe not up there with 2 or 4 but in its very different way its still very good.
I liked series 3, but would have series 1 as being better, 2 and 4 are on another level though, 4 by a whisker as the best.

The best thing about Blackadder was Lord Flashheart. Losing Rik Mayall is a sad sad loss.

Hilarious, poignant and brilliantly acted by a perfectly selected cast. Timeless comedy that all our kids should have the privilege of enjoying.
Series 1 was totally shit.
